St. Thomas International Regatta
Your Class is Invited! St. Thomas International Regatta - March 23-25, 2018
We’d like to invite the Santana 20 Class to race in the 2018 St. Thomas International Regatta!
The regatta will take place March 23-25, 2018, in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands
Organizers of the St. Thomas International Regatta are on a mission to make this event the friendliest in the Caribbean for one-design classes! Why? There are five great ‘must-do’ reasons.
Perfect Venue: One-design racing is hot and Virgin Islands’ waters offer the perfect mix of round-the-island and round-the-buoy courses to ideally accommodate both one-design and handicap classes. STIR is managed and based at the beachside St. Thomas Yacht Club, which has had over half a century experience at running world class events!!
No Stranger to One-Design: STIR has already successfully hosted Melges 32, VX One and C&C 30 classes as well as our homegrown IC24s. What’s more, host St. Thomas Yacht Club has a long tradition of raising home-grown one-design talent with many U.S. and World Champions on its roster.
Easy Travel: The U.S. Virgin Islands is easy to travel to from the U.S. or Europe by plane for crews and boats via container or transport ship.
Ultimate Tropical Vacation Destination: Late winter is the perfect time to take a break from the cold and take the family on a sailing holiday. The U.S. Virgin Islands are world-famous for its first-class resorts and restaurants, beaches, shopping, quaint historic town, sights to see and watersports activities.
Even More Race Opportunities: There’s the potential to combine attendance at STIR with competition in other Caribbean regattas in March and April, thus providing more racing for the logistical buck.
Here’s what we can offer:
• Turn-key race and logistics package
• Easy travel to St. Thomas
• Great racing
• A fun relaxing tropical destination
• Great accommodation options
• Dedicated class and trophies
Thank you for your consideration and we look forward to hearing from you!
