Sail Number protocol?

Sail Number protocol?

Postby RRaedeke » Sat Aug 04, 2012 12:53 pm

My 1977 "Super Duck" (Hull #79) has its original sails.
The S20 logo and sail numbers are nicely sewn on to them...

As I look to purchase new sails or at least sails that were new this century, I am curious about the sail number I should put on them.

When I owned our Bucc 18, the sail number corresponded to the hull number.
Is there a protocol that I should follow with our 20?

Thanks.

Oh and by the way, the number on the sails is 57375.
It seems like an odd number for such an old boat.

Most of us just use our hull numbers as the sail number. So you would be hull #77.

Hope to hear from you this weekend, leave a voicemail if I don't answer, I plan to be sailing this sunday.
