Spinnaker Pole dimensions

Postby LeeBitts » Thu Jun 26, 2014 7:59 am

I have an old spinnaker pole that is very large in diameter. I think around 2 inches, perhaps 2.5". What is the best size to use and does anyone have a source for getting these at reasonable prices?

thanks in advance

We went to a 1 or 1.5" pole (you can just get your thumb and for-finger around it) a bunch of years ago. Works a treat. If you find an aluminum supply outlet in your area you will be able to do it all for under $150 or so, (but don't quote me as it has been a few yrs and alu prices have gone up a bunch). RWO pole ends from APS work great though and we race at a pretty high level....
