RV Resort and Camping at Nationals
I believe that Vern, Tim and Rick were the only folks that specifically cited a need for RV camping at Nationals, but I addressed this to others that it may appeal to.
Unfortunately, I was unsuccessful in getting the Long Beach Marine Department to allow us to "Dry Camp' outside of the Club. Something about security, legal issues, covenants on the Peninsula with residents, etc.
Fortunately though, the facilities at Golden Shore RV Resort prove more perfect now than they ever were. Now there is a free shuttle bus that travels from just outside the door of the RV Resort right on down to Alamitos Bay.
Even more appropriate perhaps is the new AquaLink high speed catamaran that picks up at Rainbow Harbor (short walk from the RV park) and they deposit you at Seaport Village, right across the cannel from ABYC. Just call on the cell and a "shoreboat' from ABYC will come over and shuttle you across the 300 ' to the Club. Nominal fee is involved for a great right along the harbor shoreline (ABYC Shore Boat - me - is free).
For those of you with vehicles, this trip is about 10-12 minutes along Ocean Blvd and then out the Peninsula to ABYC.
